Kevin John Adams - Bass

Kevin John Adams

Born January 3rd, 1957 in Spokane, Washington, Kevin’s music career started as many do, in local garage bands. In 1976 he joined his first working band, Lodestone, an established Spokane Hard Rock act performing mainly in the Spokane area. A move to Seattle in the late seventies found Kevin in the Spyder Davis Blues Band. Although the band was well established and seasoned, the gigs remained mainly local. In 1982 he returned to Spokane to join a touring lounge band called Spin Gibbous. Soon tiring of that scene Kevin co-founded Fanatic with Jesse James Bishop of the Automatics. Fanatic was a little more successful with non-stop touring of the western USA and warm-up spots for national acts. This lead to a spot in the Spokane based Progressive Rock Recording band UVU. After years of constant touring Kevin left UVU to stay at home with his daughter Kaely. Soon the urge to perform inspired him to join The Belairs, the house band for the famous Spokane Club Swackhammers. In the early nineties Kevin returned to Seattle and began writing and recording his own music. Around this time he became friends with Randy Hansen. The two began a jam band along with Johnnie B. that’s sessions became so regular they named it, The Rutherfords. It was this development that lead to Randy offering Kevin the bass position in his band. A position he has filled since 2004.
